Current Artist:

Nancy Moran, R.N., M.S., is a dedicated Tulsa activist, public health nurse, and artist who has spent decades championing social and environmental justice. Her advocacy spans a wide range of impactful efforts, including founding Tulsa’s first transitional living center for unhoused individuals with chronic mental illness, leading the city’s peace movement, fostering community gardening initiatives, and fighting for climate action and environmental justice in areas affected by air pollution. Her work reflects an unwavering belief in humanity’s potential to choose compassion and justice.

Nancy’s artistic journey began as a way to provide encouragement—for herself and others—through the medium of collage. She views this creative process as “vitamin C for the soul,” a grounding, whole-body-brain activity that nurtures mindfulness, self-compassion, spirituality, and hope. Each piece serves as a reflection on themes like ecology, grounded hope, and the imperative to actively engage in the world rather than remain a passive spectator.

Nancy’s passion for collaging began a decade ago when she hosted vision board-making parties. Nancy views the act of creating collages as a way to not only envision a better future but also cultivate the qualities needed to pursue it, all while fostering community and joy.
