Understanding Afghan
Culture
YWCA Tulsa’s Immigrant and Refugee Services find opportunities to break down cultural barriers and build cultural understanding within the community through culturally specific training for community partners. The first part of the training will focus on Afghan culture, why people migrated to the United States, and the impact of migration on the Afghan community in Tulsa. The second part of the training will build on this new cultural knowledge and apply it to real life situations in the workplace or in the community. The training will be interactive and require participants to engage in dialogue about case studies.
Minimum Participants: 10
If there is an interest in training on other cultures or topics, training costs will be the same but additional curriculum preparation costs of $50/hour will be included.
