Dr. Delia Kimbrel is a trailblazer in education and equity, leveraging her expertise in research and data strategy to create transformative change for Tulsa’s communities. As ImpactTulsa’s Head of Research and Data Strategy, she has spearheaded initiatives that close gaps in education and address systemic inequities. Her leadership in creating the Tulsa Child Equity Index provides critical insights into how neighborhood conditions influence student success, shaping data-driven policies that foster equitable opportunities for all children.  

 

Dr. Kimbrel’s work has a profound focus on women and underserved populations. She played a pivotal role in the City of Tulsa Internet Access Taskforce, helping the city secure $5.6 million to provide high-speed internet to over 22,000 families during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring students and families could access remote learning. Her efforts have bridged the digital divide and highlighted the intersection of education and technology.  

 

A champion for systemic change, Dr. Kimbrel’s career spans over a decade, addressing educational inequities and advocating for vulnerable communities. Her research and data work on eviction and absenteeism has confronted harmful narratives, linking housing stability to academic success.
