Whitney Cipolla exemplifies what it means to be a rising star through her dedication to education, advocacy, and creating a more equitable Tulsa. As Recruitment Manager for Teach For America, Whitney identifies and empowers individuals committed to educational equity, building a brighter future for students across Oklahoma. Her experience as a sixth-grade teacher and public policy professional—working in mental health policy at Mental Health Association Oklahoma and Healthy Minds Policy Initiative—fuels her passion for addressing systemic barriers and fostering opportunities for all.

Beyond her professional role, Whitney’s impact on Tulsa is evident through her extensive volunteer leadership. As Board President of Oklahomans for Equality (OKEQ), she stepped in during a critical time to stabilize the organization amid financial and leadership crises. Through her bridge-building efforts, she rebuilt trust, strengthened governance, and ensured the continued advocacy for Tulsa’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

As Chair of TYPROS (Tulsa’s Young Professionals) and the City of Tulsa’s 2SLGBTQIA+ committee, Whitney empowers young leaders and connects them with opportunities to give back. She previously served as Board President of the Little Blue House, demonstrating her tireless commitment to advancing equity and inclusion.
